Summer 2011
The photos above are a snap shot of a project we are currently working on: - 36 Flats are being created from Brighton & Hove's biggest nursing home.

This is one of our 2011 current projects. The job is to remove the existing sashes and upgrade them to modern timber double glazed sashes. This works include retaining the existing box frames where possible and renovating and installing our draft proofing systems. There are over 360 individual windows on this project. Also we are supplying and fitting complete new box sash windows in to the extensions on the rear and basement areas.

The works are being carried out for the main contractor and the main client Southern Housing and a private developer.

Jobs on this scale require health and safety polices, multi million pound liability insurance policies and intricate management and scheduling. The quality of our work was sampled by the clients and architects before we were awarded this contract. There was no other Timber window company in Sussex that was suitable to be invited to quote on this project.

The job is estimated to take 8 tons of lead sash weights! Obviously we are recycling the older weights where possible........

Control sash windows have been awarded yet another prestigious job; Shoreham College. The contract was awarded to us by the architects and the main contractor. We are to replace all of the sash windows, replacing the originals with identical replacements. We are working hand in hand with the architects and Adur councils conservation team, adapting the original intricate profiles to take discreet high performance double glazed units. When we say intricate, every millimetre is being discussed to retain the original look of this historically important building.

Control Sash Wndows are now assisiting many RIBA Architects restoring period properties.
